Wii U Box Art

Wii U Box Art

Online retail giant Amazon might have just leaked the Wii U box art design. The box art, shown below, differs substantially from the current Wii design, and is also different from the Darksiders 2 box art which was leaked on the German Amazon site a few months ago. So far three games have leaked with the new box design, all three are from Ubisoft. Neither Amazon, Nintendo, nor Ubisoft have commented on the new box art leak.

The new design is very similar to the old GameCube box art. The Wii U version shows a blue curved top with a yellow outline, and is generally very “clean” in its design. If this turns out to be the official design, it will be good for Nintendo to differentiating the new Wii U box art from the old Wii ones, making a clean break for a new console. Nintendo will likely unveil the new cover designs next month with the reveal of the console price and launch date.

  1. I’m very excited for the WiiU. I like it whether it’s the actual box art or not. It’s getting very close!!

  2. The boxart is cool, but relaeasing AC3 to the Wii U is way cooler

I like this site, its design and its content.
Problem is that there just aren’t any groundbreaking news regarding the Wii U right now.

I like the cover design Nintendo chose for the Wii U (it reminds me of the GameCube game covers), as well as the light blue color for the cases.

  4. i also like the blue casing instead of original white version.A bit similar with the xbox casing though(before it was green).

  5. looks pretty good

More upcoming games, features, online access and better Friend Code system? Those are worthy things to know on a site which is about the Wii U.

Really I just want the Wii U to come out. When it comes out it doesn’t matter if it costs 1000$, I will still get it. All who agree reply YES!. And for all those pessimistic jerks reply NO!. I also agree on one thing that the more people who know and talk about Wii U, the more they make information leaks cut off. I hope you like my perspective on this.

    • YES!!!!!!!!

    • Yes….but no.

Sorry, I don’t have $1000 to blow on a videogame console right now. I am currently in debate with my wife over the Wii U or her getting a new iPhone when those launch. I think it’s funny though that it looks like our final decision will be made after the 12 and 13th of September announcements by Apple and Nintendo.

Seems more apparent who they view as their chief rival now. Also seems like Nintendo has resorted to following Apple in an attempt to take some wind out of their sails. (Personally I don’t see the Wii U competing with Apple in anyway except on how we budget our money. Two very different product lines serving very different functions.)

If the Wii U launches for less than $300, it’s mine. If it’s more than that, I may be waiting longer than I would like for mine.

  8. Looks good, just have to wait and see until Nintendo give an official announce

I like this box art, it looks pretty good!

  10. It’s going to flop. All it is is a upgraded Wii with a new gimmicky controller.

  11. They don’t have updates because the Wii u is becoming more known and out there. It’s not a crap site. What else do you expect to find out besides the price?

  12. At least we can agree that the wiki U won’t suck.

  13. I agree :p
